An easy MTB round trip from Kronstadt (Brașov) to Poiana Brașov
Length: ca. 23Km
Ascent: cca. 500 m
We start from the old town of Brasov (600m) and follow the old forest road to Poiana Brasov (1000m). Immediately after leaving the last houses, our path crosses a climbing area, the stones of Solomon. Then follows the 5km long climb through the forest until we arrive in Poiana Brașov. Here, in the largest Romanian ski area, we can rest a little. After a short energy break we start our descent. Our trail leads us mainly on narrow and technically demanding hiking trails through the forest from Poiana lui Stechil to the Zinne Sattel. From here we can admire the breathtaking view of the old town of Brasov. Then we have a descent towards Racadau, a district of Brasov. We drive under the pinnacle on a nice walk through the forest back to the old town.

A moderately difficult 2 day tour
by MTB through the Bucegi Massif over the highest peak (Omu 2507 m)
Lenght 1. day: ca. 25 Km
Ascent: 1200 m
We start in Sinaia (800 m), our ascent begins right at the foot of the
mountain. We drive the first 10 km on a paved road, from 1400 m we continue on rugged forest paths and “easy” ski slopes up to the 2000 m high plateau.
Once at the top, the view opens up to us on the other side of the valley, on the Baiului Mountains. Now we continue cycling on the plateau to the Babele Hütte (2200 m), which will be our overnight quarters. Here we can marvel at the rock formations of the Babeles (old women) and the Sfinx.

Lenght 2. day: ca. 60 Km
Ascend: 800 m
This day begins with an ascent
at the foot of Omu peak. We ride on single trails below a spectacular rock face and finally have a crisp climb to the highest peak of the Bucegi Massif (Omu 2507 m). Here we will take a well deserved rest
can do in the summit hut.
Then there is a demanding descent over the Guţanu ridge to the Strunga saddle, where we can admire a great panorama of the mountains on all sides. The trail continues in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Bucegi Mountains. We drive through the rocky Tatar Gorge and past the Ialomiţa Dam. In between we can strengthen ourselves with a meal.
Then the last ascent of the day takes us back to a whopping 1630 m on the Dichiu Pass. As a reward we have a breathtaking descent back to Sinaia.

A demanding MTB day tour at the foot of the Piatra Craiului
Lenght: ca. 40 Km

We start comfortably from Zărneşti, at the foot of the Piatra Craiului, cycling uphill to the plateau of Măgura, where we can admire not only the breathtaking mountain panorama but also the traditional construction of the mountain people. On the other side of the valley we see the imposing Bucegi Massif. Then follows a descent on a cart track into the Gradistei valley.
After a few kilometers we turn off and drive uphill on a paved road to 1200 m. From there we continue on gravel roads through sleepy villages straight towards the mountains. Arriving at the pass (1400 m)
the fabulous mountain panorama of the entire Piatra Craiului opens up before us. The way back takes us back to Zărneşti through the spectacular rocky gorge at the foot of the mountains.

After reaching the Baiul Mare peak (1809m), there follows a long descent (cca 20 km) to Posada.
